Pre-Diagnostic Assessments While You Wait
If your PC is performing poorly or not running at all, we can tell you what’s wrong. In most cases, we can perform a pre-diagnostic assessment while you wait. So when you leave your computer with us, you have a good idea what to expect, how much repair service may be involved and whether your PC will need replacement parts.

PC Tune-up
Computer been acting sluggish and quirky lately? Are there 10 little things wrong with it that are sapping it's resources? Like cars, PCs are just machines... they need maintenance. A PC Tune-up can help middle-aged computers (2 to 3 years) get back on their feet again. We'll do a host of tweaks and tune-ups and advise you if it may be time to upgrade any parts or install protective software.

$1500 depending on the PCs age and initial condition when received.
Customized Virus and Spyware Protection for New PCs
Most new computers don’t include complete solutions for performance and Internet security. That’s where our inventory of the most advanced virus and spyware protection software comes in. Before you leave the store, ask a Technician to customize your new computer for the software, security, and data you need to ensure maximum productivity from the moment you take it out of the box.
Don’t Forget to Present the Following at Check-in
To expedite your Mid-Island Tech Technician repair or service, please present the following at check-in:
- Notebook and Printer Power Cords
Please bring the one the manufacturer provided for your notebook or printer. This enables the Technician to more readily test your unit as well as perform subsequent repair checks.
- Original Manufacturer Recovery/Restoration and Original Application Software CDs
This enables the Technician to reinstall the operating system and the applications that originally shipped with your computer.
- Individual Component Installation Driver CDs
Some components might not be part of the original configuration of your computer. A component installation driver CD is necessary to properly reinstall such upgrades.
- Microsoft Product Authenticity Key
When it’s necessary to reinstall the operating system, Microsoft requires a product key to be retyped for authenticity purposes. This product key could be a sticker attached to a side of your computer or a separate Microsoft manual with the product key on the front cover.
